How We Clean Out Ponds & Water Features
"Our backyard koi pond was in a sorry shape. It had been a couple years since we had drained and cleaned it, plants overgrown, underwater lights not functioning, etc. I’ve seen the Pondscapes trucks around town for years and had been flirting with call them. I am so glad I did - they came out within 1.5 weeks, it took 3 men over 3 hours to get it clean. It looks amazing. They also replaced my lights, took great care of the fish and cleaned up so nicely before they left. I am so impressed that I just signed up for their monthly maintenance/care plan. Highly recommend." - Todd Abbott (Google Review)
What We Do To Protect Your Fish During A Clean Out
"Chrissy and King came and did a full cleanup and restore of my water feature. It is so nice to see clear water and clean rocks again!!! They gave me some good advice on how to keep it clean.
Very Happy!!" - Gary Schoenfeld (Google Review)
Pond Clean Out Time-Lapse
"My husband and I contact Pondscapes twice a year to clean the tree debris out of our pond, as well as some of the algae that adheres to the rocks. After their visits the pond looks like new! They rearrange a few of the stones and plants just a bit so the look never gets old." - Margot Rott (Google Review)
"I wish I could give more than five stars in this rating. The Pondscapes of Charlotte staff and crew are all top-notch. Our pond was in terrible shape and they "saved the day" to make it enjoyable again. The crew was punctual, efficient, and super polite. They left our yard in fine shape and were a pleasure while they were at our home. We are very grateful!!" - Joan Lachance (Google Review)
Pond and filters were thoroughly cleaned and we liked the attention given to detail (rearranging the rocks, plants, pebbles) to make the pond look aesthetically more pleasing. The free goldfish added to the pond when all work was completed was unexpected and a pleasant bonus! Our pond looks great and the water looks and smells clean!" - Janelle Danchenka (Google Review)
Pond Cleaning Is Essential For A Healthy Pond
Does your Charlotte & southern Piedmont & northern South Carolina area fish pond need a full spring pond cleaning this season or does it just need to be tidied up a little? There are a couple of things that you can look for to help you decide. First, if there is a layer of “crud” at the bottom of the pond and the water is dark in color, it would be a good idea to do a full pond drain and clean-out. On the other hand, if there is just a small amount of debris that you can stir up and capture with a net and the water looks clear, a little tidying up is all that’s in order and a spring start-up will suffice. Either way if you live in the Charlotte NC surrounding areas contact us to do it right.
